This is an introductory module that is intended to help incoming students understand and master basic topics that are necessary for successful engagement with future Business and Economics modules. Topics include: fractions, exponents, logs, manipulating and simplifying algebraic expressions, linear, quadratic and simultaneous equations, straight line and quadratic graphs and functions, differentiation, including the power, sum and multiple rules.

The objective of this course is to give a grounding in a wide variety of mathematical techniques which will be needed in both your degree and also in Mathematics 2 which you will take in the second semester.

This is a set of exercises followed by a practice admission test that can be used to prepare for the online workshops and the face to face admission test that you will take as part of your application to enroll on the Access Programme.
